One-Week Stay in the Canary Islands

The Canary Islands, a true paradise for sailing, offer a great diversity of landscapes. The weather conditions are favorable all year round. This one-week immersive stay on board is perfectly balanced to allow you to explore several islands of the archipelago while training your knowledge of the marine world.

Sample Itinerary:

 

 

Day 1 - Saturday: Arrival

After 5 PM, the skipper will personally welcome you at the marina and help you take possession of the boat. After a briefing and a welcome aperitif, you will agree on the navigation plan based on the latest weather data for the week. Overnight stay on board.

Day 2 - Sunday: Getting Acclimated

After departing in the morning, we sail towards the port of Los Gigantes at the foot of the cliffs. After a possible swim break, we may have the chance to observe marine wildlife, given the high concentration of animals in the area. Free time in the evening and overnight stay on board.

Day 3 - Monday: The Crossing

Departure, if possible, early in the morning to sail towards La Palma, the second island of the journey.
9 to 10 hours of sailing are required to reach the "Isla Bonita." Free time in the evening and overnight stay on board.

 

 

Days 4 & 5 - Tuesday, Wednesday: Discovery, Nature, and Relaxation

After the sailing comes exploration. You can rent a car and head to the Astrophysical Research Institute, wander through Santa Cruz de La Palma to admire its typical architecture, or consider a hike through thousands of hectares of forests. The skipper will be your guide.

Day 6 - Thursday: "El Silbo Gomero"

Set sail for La Gomera, the round island. The last stop of Christopher Columbus before reaching the Americas, with several possible stages. After observing "Los Organos," we can head to the island's capital for a visit or consider a quiet anchorage for the night.

Day 7 - Friday: Return

Take your time or enjoy a morning exploration. Depart the boat shortly before noon to set sail back to Tenerife after sailing along the south of La Gomera.

Day 8 - Saturday: Departure

After exchanging contact details and photos of the trip, you will leave the boat in the morning before 10 AM.

 

 

Days 2 to 6 can be modified or rescheduled depending on the weather conditions.
Whatever the conditions, the skipper, as the sole captain on board, may make the appropriate decisions concerning the safety of the crew, the boat, and the smooth running of the navigation. He will inform you of his choices at any time, and if conditions are perfect, he will let you choose as a group.
